Sheet Music Available for New Eucharistic Hymns

In June, we revealed the winners of the Eucharistic Revival musical contest—one in the category of hymns and one as the Eucharistic Revival theme song. The goal of this contest was to give voice to the truths of our faith in a way that only music can, inviting us to participate more deeply in the reality of the miracle present before us. Today, we are thrilled to announce that the sheet music for each of these winning pieces is now available for download and free use at your parish!

“The winning hymn, with its theological integrity, poetic craft, and yet ease of singing, is a significant contribution to liturgical music in the Eucharistic Revival.”

– Alexis Kutarna, Competition Judge and Director of Sacred Music at Cathedral High School in Houston, TX

The Theme Song

“We Do Believe, O Lord” is a new Eucharistic hymn by Diane Mahoney, a member of Divine Mercy Parish in Burlington, Iowa. The piece has been named the theme song for the Revival movement and is appropriate to be sung at Mass, adoration, and any other gathering of Catholics where music might be used.

The standard sheet music features the lyrics in both English and Spanish. You can download the full score here.

“My hope is that the reality of the Eucharist will become more alive in the hearts of at least some of those who sing this hymn.”

– Kathleen Pluth, MA, STL

The Winning Hymn

“Let the Earth Acclaim” was written by Kathleen Pluth of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Phoenix, Arizona. This versatile piece of music can be set to a variety of melodies. With this in mind, our team has created a few different versions of this score, all downloadable for free. Choose whichever fits best with the character of your parish!

Lifting Our Hearts in Song

Music has always been a powerful way to express our devotion and reverence. With the introduction of these new Eucharistic hymns, we will publicly affirm our belief in the Eucharist, celebrate the beauty of this gift, and give glory to God as we lift our hearts in song.

Please share this with your parish's music director and any musicians you know. We look forward to hearing these beautiful hymns in parishes throughout the country in the coming months!
