Revival happens here—in the checkout line at the grocery store and sitting out in front of your house on a Saturday afternoon talking to neighbors. It happens in the introduction to the person who always sits in front of you at Sunday 10:00 AM Mass and in the invitation to your sister to join you at Eucharistic Adoration next Wednesday evening.
Revival happens in the quiet moments of prayer when we are before the Blessed Sacrament and in the precious time after we've received our Lord in Holy Communion. Revival is not a moment, but a movement made up of many moments, each of them drawing us closer to the Lord and inviting us into a relationship with him.
The work of ongoing Eucharistic Revival is the work of the Eucharistic Missionary, an individual who is in love with Jesus and makes a commitment to remain rooted in prayer so that, through Eucharistic friendship, that person can share Jesus with his or her family, neighborhood, and parish. When we think of "mission" work or evangelization, we may think of travel to far-off places or well-put-together arguments and speeches that convince people to follow Jesus. The greatest mission field, however, is the one closest to each of us. It is the people we see every day in the places we frequent the most.
Could you imagine what your world might look like if those you encounter regularly came to know Jesus in a personal and powerful way? Can you comprehend the cultural change that would create? This doesn't need to be a dream—it is the work of revival, and it is possible. It is a work Jesus desires to do, and he wishes to use us for that work.
We believe in this work, and we've created a set of videos and challenges that will help you discern and step into the role of Eucharistic Missionary. "Become" is a five-session series that will help you become empowered and formed as a Eucharistic Missionary, blessed and sent forward to share Jesus with your family, neighborhood, and parish. We invite you to begin this series this week—either as an individual or as a small group—and journey with us through the end of the year so that together we can begin 2026 excited and ready to reach those closest to us and invite them to know Jesus.
Revival happens over dinner with your family and in the pickup line at school. It happens during coffee and donuts after Mass and as your kids ride bikes in your neighborhood. Revival happens where you go, because revival has happened in your heart first. Become a Eucharistic Missionary and together let's watch our world change.
